An Idea is Born

I first became interested in the practice of mind-body medicine nearly 15 years ago. I always believed there was more to healing than what western medicine alone offered. In my undergraduate studies, I was fortunate to have access to courses which embodied evidence based principles, rooted in mind-body medicine, such as Comprehensive and Alternative Medical Therapies, Dynamics of Disease, and Introduction to Chinese Medicine. I went on to minor in Integrated Healthcare and continue to enhance and incorporate my existing knowledge base with my clients.

I am experienced in several mind-body techniques to include:

  • Use of isochronic tones
  • Basic level stress-reduction and directed imagery
  • Mindful breathing, and 
  • Meditation

Guided Imagery

The mind-body connection is the ability to connect our conscious mind with our unconscious mind or “Reptile Brain Part”. It connects emotions to the thinking part of the brain.When we meditate or use visual imagery we go into an altered state of being.
