Growing up in a military family provided me with a deep appreciation for dedication and service to others. It is no surprise my journey has brought me to a place of helping others by holding space to facilitate growth and healing.

Since moving back to Colorado in 1999, I earned my Bachelor of Human Development degree, with a minor in Integrated Healthcare, from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I then obtained my Multi-Intensive Special Needs Paraprofessional certification in Elementary Education, focusing on creating a risk-free environment for learning, meeting the unique social and academic needs of each child, helping students build positive self-concepts, and guiding and supporting families.

I earned my Master of Applied Psychology degree with an emphasis in Counseling from Regis University in 2010. I also gained over 10 years experience in Human Resources, in both for-profit and non-profit organizations in a variety of roles. One of those roles provided the opportunity to gain experience as a Human Resources Business Partner, guiding supervisory efforts in helping clients to develop and implement independent life skills and strategies.

I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, also from Regis University in 2018, with an emphasis in Counseling Children and Adolescents. I completed my clinical practicum at the Regis Center for Counseling and Family Therapy, followed by my clinical internship at People House in Denver, gaining invaluable experience with individuals of various populations, ages, and issues, including couples and families.

Currently, I see clients at my practice in Broomfield as owner of Heart of Broomfield Counseling, LLC, and am also affiliated with People House Denver as a Core Practioner*.

I feel that my educational, professional, and personal life experiences have provided me with a strong foundation of patience, love, understanding, and compassion; along with the critical skills, knowledge, and insight, rooted in evidence-based research; to provide my clients with genuine and effective guidance and support.

*Note: I rent office and/or workshop space at People House, which is neither my employer or agent. Neither People House Board Members, staff, nor any other practitioner, is in any way responsible for my services or activities.
